Stutter
Tonight I’m showing two interactive installations at the Kraak live art and performance night.
The first, “Stutter”, consists of a microphone on a stand and a pair of headphones. The audience member puts on the headphones and reads from one of several children’s books, into the microphone. The signal from the mic is fed through a slight time delay and back into the headphones. The result is that the person reading stutters and slows down their speech as the incoming signal confuses the brain slightly.
I’ll be recording the results so will post an edited version soon.
The night runs from 11pm-1am at Kraak, Stevenson Square, Manchester. Doors are open strictly from 10pm-11pm.
