Untitled with Records and Hammer (installation)

As mentioned in my last blog, I’ve got two interactive installations showing tonight at Kraak.

The second is called “Untitled with Records and Hammer” and consists of a workbench, some 12″ records and a hammer. Audience members are invited to smash up one or more of the records, on the workbench, with the hammer. The resulting debris will be left on the floor surrounding the bench.

The records in question are copies of an EP I self-released for my old band. As such the piece is a kind of catharsis, a purging or a break with the past.
Documentation of the installation will be uploaded soon.

The night runs from 11pm-1am at Kraak, Stevenson Square, Manchester. Doors are open strictly from 10pm-11pm.
