Sonic Weekend 6 recordings available soon

Back in April I went to Sonic Weekend 6, an event organised by the fabulous White Label Music. Over the weekend about 25 musicians stayed in a strange little hostel, in Harlow, Essex, of all places, and recorded an album together in various combinations.

I was blessed over the weekend to program and play a Roland TR-707, one of my favourite drum machines, plus various instruments on different tracks including live drums, electric piano, analogue synth, bass guitar – I even sang some backing vocals on a track.

The album, Sonic Weekend 6, will be officially released some time in the next few months (will keep the blog updated), but for now here’s a taster of one of the tracks, Wave of Loneliness, uploaded by Rob Hyde. Enjoy!
