Artist’s talk at SoundFjord about new show, For Posterity.
This Saturday, 17th March, I’ll be giving an artist’s talk at SoundFjord in London about my practice and new exhibition at the gallery.
The exhibition, For Posterity, tells the story of my attempts to reunite a family with an audio journal they made to reel-to-reel tape, which I found at a car boot sale. I’ll be talking about the process I went through to find the family; the issues raised in the process including the legacy of archive and questions of anonymity; how the work links in with my wider art practice; my earlier work which has informed this installation; and future projects.
During the talk I’ll show audio and video and examples of previous work and take questions from attendees.
The event runs from 4pm to 7pm on Saturday 17th March, 2012, at SoundFjord, Unit 3B – Studio 28 | 28 Lawrence Road | LONDON | N15 4ER. Please RSVP to info@soundfjord.org.uk.
