I’m excited to say I’ll be playing at the KOSMISCHE CLUB 16th birthday party + Corsica 10 year anniversary on September 8th, at Corsica Studios, Elephant and Castle, London. Kosmische is a motorik and krautrock club which ran for many years in London, before moving to Norway more recently.
I’ll be playing analogue synth for both Eat Lights; Become Lights and, later in the evening, Now, who are playing a special electronic, improvised motorik set. Also playing in a fantastic line-up are Roedelius + Leon Muraglia, Gavin Russom (DFA records / LCD Sound system), Andrew Weatherall, rocketnumbernine, Man From Uranus, plus visuals and loads of DJs.
Now also play at a new night called New Potatoes, at The Beanery, Loughborough Junction (London) on Thursday 6th September. “New Potatoes – an ecelctic bag of postpunk, krautrock, electronica, psychedelia, free jazz, spazzcore & exotica.” Doors 8pm, £3 entry.
Also very exciting is another out of (London) town gig for Now, this time up in Manchester. We’re playing an all-dayer for the grand reopening (after 20+ years) of the Hulme Hippodrome, on Saturday 29th September, from 2pm onwards. Alongside us on the bill are Trash Kit, Frazer King, Paddy Steer, Halo Halo, Poppycock (feat Una Baines), Klaus Kinski, Warm Widow, Laser Dream Eyes, Salford Media City, Hurt Douglas, plus DJs, visuals and decor.
