Tutor on Experimental Sound Art course (London)
From September 2013 I’ll be the tutor on a new course called Experimental Sound Art at the Mary Ward Centre in London.
The ten week course will run three times a year on Wednesday evenings, beginning in September, January and April. The course is covers lots of practical work and experimentation with Sound, as well as some history of Sound Art, and covers topics including field recording, free improvisation, analogue and digital technologies, using found objects, vocal experiments and much more.
The Mary Ward Centre is part of the Mary Ward Settlement. It is London’s Adult Education College with a difference. Its buildings, location and range of courses have established the centre as a favourite place to learn for students of all ages. The relaxed atmosphere of the main building in Queen Square belies the professional approach to teaching and the modern technology available in all our classrooms, both at Queen Square and at the newer building at 10 Great Turnstile.
