Music By The Metre While-U-Wait, for Hackney WickED festival (London)

On Saturday 2nd August I will run a stall at Vinyl Pimp record shop in Hackney Wick, selling Music By The Metre While-U-Wait: buy bespoke abstract music on a unique cassette or off the peg sounds to your measurements. I’ll have an assortment of music making machines which I will set differently to fill each 5 minute tape, pictured above. The installation/performance is taking place as part of Hackney WickED festival.

The project follows on from my work analogising Situationist International founding member Giuseppe Pinot Gallizio‘s Industrial Paintings, which he made on long rolls of canvas and sold by the metre (more here).
