The team behind York Mediale have an electric evening planned to celebrate the official launch of XR Stories; with performances by Mechanical Techno wizard, Graham Dunning and Leeds-based DJ Andrew Devine.
Hailing from Derry in the north of Ireland, Andrew Devine has been making waves in the Leeds party scene for the past year. Nothing is off limits during his sets; you should expect to hear it all: 5.00pm – 6.15pm & 6.45pm – 8.00pm
From 6.15pm – 6.45pm experimental sound artist, Graham Dunning will be performing Mechanical Techno, a project that’s seen his experimentations go viral: https://youtu.be/wl1ZrEza7uY
Graham has been playing objects and things other than records on turntables since 2009. By combining rhythms from different sources – like clocks, metal disks, broken cymbals and marbles – with stacks of vinyl, he creates a towering fusion of live mechanical techno.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are already attending the XR Stories Launch (full day event) you do not need to register as this event is included in your ticket.
