Live coding

Live sets and studio recordings using the live coding language Tidal Cycles.

Tracks made using only samples. Recordings made direct to cassette as stereo output.

Musically, drawing from techno, 2-step, acid house, hardcore/rave. Elements of automated randomisation alongside manual manipulation of patterns, sounds and effects.

Live sets are improvised, starting with an empty screen and no code at all. Sometimes I also play live using mechanical techno and tidal cycles at the same time.

Above: live coding and mechanical techno combined set.
